Founder, Joule Assets
Dennis is an industry pioneer with more than two decades of experience and success with energy efficiency and conservation. Before co-founding Joule Assets, he was a founding member and CEO of Celerity Energy, LLC, one of the first demand response (DR) companies in the U.S. Before selling Celerity to EnerNOC in 2006, Dennis developed one of the largest portfolios of major industrial, commercial, and institutional DR clients in the Western U.S., including California's 30 major public universities. He was also instrumental in developing early rules of participation for DR in California. Previously, Dennis held a variety of management positions at PacifiCorp. As VP of PacifiCorp's development company, he led development efforts for more than $300 million in domestic and international operating power projects. When he served as head of weatherization initiatives, the company achieved 100% customer participation in Bonneville Power's landmark Hood River Conservation Project, still heralded today for its early work in measuring the energy savings and socioeconomic benefits of retrofit weatherization. Immediately prior to his current role, Dennis led MW Corporation's entry into renewable energy development in India through its subsidiary Entegra Ltd., successfully securing two of the first grid-scale solar power projects in India.
